The STAHLWERK welding machine MIG MAG 200 ST Digital has a synergic wire feed, works with up to 200 A and is suitable for both MIG MAG welding and MMA/ARC applications. In addition, FLUX cored wire can be processed, meaning welding without protective gas is also possible. The welding parameters can be easily read on a clear digital display. The different modes can be quickly set using the intuitive menu. Equipped with the latest generation of IGBT technology, the inverter offers excellent welding properties thanks to higher efficiency with reduced power consumption. Thanks to optimal performance parameters, the versatile welding machines can be used for almost all requirements and always ensure perfect work results. In addition to smart cooling with integrated overheating protection, the welding machine has a synergic wire feed. The speed of the wire feed is automatically controlled by the set welding current. As a special highlight, the welding machine has an integrated LED light to illuminate the wire guide, which enables the wire roll to be changed quickly even in poor visibility conditions. This switches on automatically when the protective flap is opened. The compact design and low weight ensure effortless transport and comfortable working. The spot spot welding function is particularly suitable for thin body parts in the automotive sector. This means that the stitching points are precisely reproducible and uniform. The spot function means that only a small amount of heat gets into the workpiece, which leads to less distortion. The 2T/4T mode offers extended control over the current flow.

Functions

  • MIG MAG - metal arc welding with direct current (DC). Welding can be carried out with inactive/inert (MIG: e.g. argon) or with active (MAG: e.g. CO2) gases. Gas and welding wire come from a torch head and allow welding work to be carried out with just one hand.
  • The set welding parameters can be easily read on a clear digital display. The different modes can be quickly set using the intuitive menu.
  • Synergic wire feed: The wire feed speed is controlled fully automatically via the welding current.
  • 2 in 1 combination device - MIG MAG and MMA welding is possible up to 200 amps.
  • IGBT technology - Latest and most modern transistor technology enables maximum performance and duty cycle (ED)! No transformer, no MOSFET, state-of-the-art IGBT!
  • Lightweight & compact design - Innovative IGBT transistors save space and weight compared to old MOSFET technology. No more heavy carrying!
  • Highest efficiency & performance - Single-phase alternating current (230 V) supplies the device and allows an output power of real 200 amps.
  • Smart cooling & overheating protection - Integrated overheating protection and high-performance cooling enable maximum performance to be achieved.
  • 2T/4T - determines operating mode control and provides advanced control over current flow. In 2T mode, the ignition remains active until the button on the burner is released. In 4T mode, the arc is ignited after pressing and releasing the button once. After pressing and releasing again, the ignition is stopped.
  • Spot spot welding function is particularly suitable for thin body parts in the automotive sector. This means that the stitching points are precisely reproducible and uniform. The spot function means that only a small amount of heat gets into the workpiece, which leads to less distortion.

Properties & advantages

  • As a special highlight, the welding machine has an integrated LED light to illuminate the wire guide, which enables the wire roll to be changed quickly even in poor visibility conditions. This switches on automatically when the protective flap is opened.
  • Cored wire - all of our ST series devices can use flux cored wire. This makes welding possible without inert gas.
  • Voltage (Volts) - Variable voltage control to manually adjust wire penetration and burn-off. This can be used to influence the various properties of a wide variety of materials.
  • Manual wire feed - no more loss of gas or the hassle of pushing the wire through. If a new roll of wire is to be fed through the hose package, this can be done conveniently from the device using the red wire feed button with the hose package laid out.
  • Wire roll - Commercially available wire rolls from 1 kg to 5 kg can be processed here. The bobbin mandrel can hold 16mm and 50mm bobbins.
  • Wire drive roller - by simply changing the drive roller from 0.6 mm, 0.8 mm and 1.0 mm, different wire thicknesses can be used.
  • MMA electrode welding / MMA welding - is a universal welding process for welding with electrodes.
  •  Note: The device is not intended for use in residential areas where power is supplied via a public low-voltage power supply system. It may be difficult to ensure electromagnetic compatibility in these areas due to both conducted and radiated interference.
