The STAHLWERK AC/DC TIG 200 Puls CUT ST is a multifunctional TIG welding machine with plasma cutting function and MMA or electrode welding function. The device can be used to weld almost all metals such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum and copper, as well as to precisely cut conductive metals such as standard steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum and titanium. One of the many advantages of this 3-in-1 combination welder is its compact design and low weight of only 15.65 kg. With the plasma cutting function, material thicknesses of up to 12 mm can be cut at 45 amps. The AC/DC TIG 200 Puls CUT ST has an extensive pulse function, which, among other things, makes welding thin sheet metal easier. Parameters such as pulse current, pulse frequency, long and short pulse can be easily adjusted. The remote-controllable current control on the welding torch or foot pedal (available as an option) offers you the advantage that you can also regulate the current during the welding process. State-of-the-art IGBT technology enables maximum performance in TIG and MMA welding as well as plasma cutting.

Functions

  • AC/DC TIG welding - alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC). Welding of almost all metals, such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper and much more.
  • 3 in 1 combination device - TIG & MMA welding is possible up to 200 A, plasma cutting up to 45 A.
  • Plasma / CUT - Electricity is used to generate a plasma jet that melts the material, which is then removed with compressed air. This means that all conductive metals such as standard steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, titanium and much more can be cut precisely with ease.
  • Cutting thickness - Separating cuts are possible up to 12 mm, depending on the material. Structural steel ST37 up to 12 mm, V2A or V4A up to 8 mm, aluminum up to 5 mm.
  • Extensive pulse function - TIG PULS - prevents materials from burning through and reduces deformation due to heat, particularly suitable for welding thin plates whose material may only be heated slightly. Adjustable parameters are: pulse current, pulse width, pulse frequency, long and short pulse.
  • IGBT technology - Latest and most modern transistor technology enables high performance when welding! No transformer, no MOSFET, state-of-the-art IGBT!
  • Lightweight & compact design - only 15.65 kg weight and dimensions of 507 x 238 x 437 mm. Innovative IGBT transistors save space and weight compared to old MOSFET technology. No more heavy carrying!
  • HF ignition - enables contactless ignition and ensures a significantly better welding result. No LIFT ARC, no strike ignition!
  • Highest efficiency & performance - Single-phase alternating current (230 V) supplies the device and allows an output power of real 200 amps.
  • Smart cooling & overheating protection - State-of-the-art technology, integrated overheating protection and high-performance cooling enable maximum performance to be achieved.

Properties & advantages

  • 2T/4T (TIG) determines the operating mode control and provides advanced control over the current flow. In 2T mode, high frequency (HF) ignition remains active until the torch button is released. In 4T mode, the arc is ignited after pressing and releasing the button once. After pressing and releasing the button again, the ignition is stopped. Some functions, such as current reduction, are only possible in 4T mode.
  • Increase/decrease current - prevents the formation of pockets (end craters) at the end of the weld.
  • Contact ignition (CUT) - High frequency (HF) contact ignition for first-class ignition performance. One pass through the workpiece is sufficient.
  • Cutting current (CUT) - Continuously adjustable from 20 to 45 A.
  • Air supply (CUT) - After the cutting process has ended, air automatically flows in to cool the torch and reduce wear on the nozzle and electrode.
  • Gas pre- and post-travel (TIG) - protect the tungsten electrode from excessive wear and protect the weld seam from oxidation. The parameters can be set individually and separately. They indicate how long gas should flow before and after ignition.
  • AC balance - is a variable setting between breaking up the oxide layer (-) and deeper penetration (+). This helps to influence the properties of different materials and alloys.
  • Remote control via burner or pedal. The welding current can be easily adjusted at any time using the rotary control mounted on the torch. Alternatively, the welding current can also be regulated with our optionally available foot pedal.
  • Welding current / pulse current - Using the two buttons "welding current" and "pulse current" you can set two different current intensities for a welding process, between which the welding current always changes.
  • Pulse width - The pulse width is used to set how long the welding current assumes the current strength of the pulse current before it swings back to the normal welding current strength.
  • Pulse frequency - The pulse frequency determines how often the current intensity switches back and forth between the two set values in a specified period of time.
  • Longpuls - The weld seam becomes wider, the heat input is higher and the penetration is deeper.
  • Shortpulse - The weld pool is easier to control and there is less risk of welding a hole in the sheet metal.
  • Foot pedal - Remote controllable current control via the foot pedal (not included in delivery). The foot control mode offers you the advantage of being able to regulate the current even during the welding process, giving you different options for carrying out the welding work. No pulse function possible in pedal mode. The maximum current is set on the device. The foot pedal is set to 10. When you press the foot pedal, the device ignites with a lower current than what is shown on the display. As soon as the foot pedal is fully depressed, the set maximum current is reached. The value on the display does not change during this time. Examples: Maximum current display: 100 A / ignition current through pedal: approx. 40 A, maximum current display: 150 A / ignition current through pedal: approx. 80 A, maximum current display: 200 A / ignition current through pedal: approx. 110 A
  • Hotstart - Automatic voltage increase at start for better ignition results.
  • Anti-Stick - Automatic shutdown of the welding current if the electrode sticks allows for easy removal.
  • TIG (tungsten inert gas) - inert gas welding with inert/inactive gases such as Argon 4.6 (99.996%). An arc is created in an argon bell between the tungsten electrode and the workpiece. This melts the material and any additional material that may be added. A weld seam is created.
  • MMA electrode welding / ARC welding - a universal welding process. An electric arc melts the electrode, forming the weld seam. No protective gas is required.

Note: The device is not intended for use in residential areas where power is supplied from a public low-voltage power supply system. It may be difficult to ensure electromagnetic compatibility in these areas due to both conducted and radiated interference.
