The STAHLWERK combination welding machine CTM-250 ST Digital is a powerful 5-in-1 inverter with 200 A and combines the TIG | welding processes MIG MAG | MMA | FLUX in one device. In addition, the versatile multifunctional device has an integrated 50 A plasma cutter, equipped with precise contact ignition for the best ignition properties. Depending on the material, the cutting performance is up to 14 mm (structural steel ST37 up to 10 mm, V2A or V4A up to 7 mm, aluminum up to 4 mm). The welding parameters can be easily read on a clear digital display. The different modes can be quickly set using the intuitive menu. Equipped with the latest generation of IGBT technology, the versatile inert gas welding machine impresses with its synergistic wire feed and numerous individually adjustable welding parameters. In addition to smart cooling with integrated overheating protection, the welding machine has a synergic wire feed. The speed of the wire feed is automatically controlled by the set welding current. The spot spot welding function is particularly suitable for thin body parts in the automotive sector. This means that the stitching points are precisely reproducible and uniform. The spot function means that only a small amount of heat gets into the workpiece, which leads to less distortion. The 2T/4T mode offers extended control over the current flow. CuSi3 soldering is only possible in TIG mode.

Functions

  • DC TIG welding - direct current (DC). Welding of almost all metals, such as steel, stainless steel, copper, brass and much more. Note: Not suitable for aluminum - an AC/DC device is required for this.
  • 5 in 1 combination device - CUT | TIG | MIG MAG | MMA | FLUX
  • 2T/4T - determines operating mode control and provides advanced control over current flow. In 2T mode, the ignition remains active until the button on the burner is released. In 4T mode, the arc is ignited after pressing and releasing the button once. After pressing and releasing again, the ignition is stopped.
  • Gas follow-up (TIG) - protects the tungsten electrode from excessive wear and protects the weld seam from oxidation. The parameter can be set individually and separately. It indicates how long gas should flow after ignition.
  • Lightweight & compact design - innovative IGBT transistors save space and weight compared to the old MOSFET technology. No more heavy carrying!
  • HF ignition (TIG) - enables contactless ignition and ensures a significantly better welding result. No LIFT ARC, no strike ignition!
  • Highest efficiency & performance - Single-phase alternating current (230V) supplies the device and allows an output power of real 200 amps for TIG + MIG MAG + MMA.
  • Smart cooling & overheating protection - State-of-the-art technology, integrated overheating protection and high-performance cooling enable maximum performance to be achieved.
  • TIG (tungsten inert gas) - inert gas welding with inert/inactive gases such as Argon 4.6 (99.996%). An arc is created in an argon bell between the tungsten electrode and the workpiece. This melts the material and any additional material that may be added. A weld seam is created.
  • MMA electrode welding / ARC welding - a universal welding process. An electric arc melts the electrode, forming the weld seam.
  • The spot spot welding function is particularly suitable for thin body parts in the automotive sector. This means that the stitching points are precisely reproducible and uniform. The spot function means that only a small amount of heat gets into the workpiece, which leads to less distortion.

Properties & advantages

  • Hotstart - Automatic voltage increase at start for better ignition results.
  • Anti-Stick - Automatically shuts down the welding current if the electrode sticks allows for easy removal.
  • MIG MAG - metal arc welding with direct current (DC). Welding can be carried out with inactive/inert (MIG: e.g. argon) or with active (MAG: e.g. CO2) gases. Gas and welding wire come from the torch head and enable welding work to be carried out with just one hand.
  • Cored wire - The welder can use flux cored wire. This makes welding possible without inert gas. For this purpose, the device can be reversed particularly easily.
  • Automatic wire feed - the speed of the wire feed is automatically controlled by the set welding current and also by selecting the wire thickness used on the device.
  • Voltage (Volts) - Variable voltage control to manually adjust wire penetration and burn-off. This means that the various properties of a wide variety of materials can be influenced.
  • 4-roller drive - reliable and powerful wire feed. Thanks to 4 drive rollers, even thicker wires are conveyed continuously and safely.
  • Manual wire feed - no more loss of gas or the hassle of pushing the wire through. If a new roll of wire is to be fed through the hose package, this happens completely automatically using the wire push-through button.
  • Wire roll - Commercially available wire rolls from 1 kg to 5 kg can be processed here. The bobbin mandrel can hold 16mm and 50mm bobbins.
  • Wire drive roller - by simply changing the drive roller from 0.6 mm, 0.8 mm and 1.0 mm, different wire thicknesses can be used.
  • Plasma / CUT - Electricity is used to generate a plasma jet that melts the material, which is then removed with compressed air. This means that all conductive metals such as standard steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, titanium and much more can be cut precisely with ease.
  • Cutting thickness - Separating cuts are possible up to 14 mm, depending on the material. Structural steel ST37 up to 14 mm, V2A or V4A up to 8 mm, aluminum up to 5 mm.
  • Cutting current - stepless adjustment from 15 to 50 A.
  • Air delay - Infinitely adjustable air delay from 3 to 10 seconds to cool the torch and reduce wear on the nozzle and electrode.

Note: The device is not intended for use in residential areas where power is supplied via a public low-voltage supply system. It may be difficult to ensure electromagnetic compatibility in these areas due to both conducted and radiated interference.
